"I spent most of my life growing up in Zimbabwe and after moving to the UK I longed for the traditional tastes that bring back childhood memories from tucking into a bag of biltong to indulging in sweet, succulent, sticky koeksisters. Having been unable to find that true taste of home, we made it our mission to perfect our recipes for that authentic taste I remembered. Initially supplying to friends and family as a hobby, word soon spread and we started receiving interest from people wanting to buy our products. We made the decision to turn our hobby into a business and bring these tastes to our customers"

"Having been born in South Africa, I had the privileges and enjoyment of sitting at rugby matches or an afternoon braai with pre-snacks of biltong and a beer in hand along with the need of a high protein snack between intense swim training sessions. Like Carmen, I longed for those days to become a reality again after moving to the UK in 2010. I then took great pride and pleasure in making it myself at home, following this I made it our goal to build a business of our own.
